The obstacle is not the quality available, it is identifying the right workshops, validating their real level on garments and speaking their technical language. That is exactly the work of a production office present on the ground, from the first sample to the final inspection.

Northern Vietnam concentrates the houses working the European model for export: structured suits, canvassed jackets, tailored coats. Many trained their teams on Italian and British specifications, and stay invisible from Europe for lack of a commercial presence. We visit them in person, validate their real level on garments and not catalogues, then negotiate MOQs compatible with small premium runs.
The three levels of construction
A jacket is judged first on its construction. Fused canvas suits deconstructed pieces and entry ranges. Half canvas offers the best hold-to-cost trade-off for most premium brands. Full floating canvas, assembled stitch by stitch, remains the reference of high-end tailoring: it moulds to the body and ages well. A designer’s eye at every step
Tailoring forgives little: a shoulder line, a lapel roll, a badly cut notch show immediately. Our production management is run by a menswear designer who reads a pattern and corrects a make. Fit defects are caught at sampling, when a dart moves in a single alteration, not at delivery, when a whole run is already cut.
Fabrics and trims: the detail that dates a piece
A fine suit owes as much to its wool and trims as to its cut. We source fabrics to specification (Italian wools, technical blends, heavier cloths) and coordinate linings, corozo or horn buttons, interlinings and canvas. Fabric origin is decided at development stage, since it also governs eligibility to EVFTA rules of origin.

What quality level should I expect?
The best workshops master traditional canvassing and hand finishing. Selection is the key: we only reference a workshop after an in-person visit and garment validation.
